Current situation

While prostitution in the Czech Republic is legal, almost everything that surrounds the industry is not: keeping a brothel, is not, for example, legal. Quite what constitutes a brothel is a moot .

Then there’s Palackého street, where you find the old library – a real relic stacked with secrets. I often retreat there when the world’s too loud. I could spend hours lost among dusty books, thinking about how every person here hides a story. And lemme tell you: I’ve seen despair and hope in the same heartbeat. Yup, real stuff.
