I’m an ichthyologist, right? Fish are my jam, and brothel’s like that oddball cousin nobody talks bout. Fun fact: they found one off Japan in ‘98, tangled in some fisherman’s net—guy thought it was an alien! Swear to God, I’d’ve lost my mind seein’ that floppy weirdo floppin’ on deck.

A trip to Labuan Bajo wouldn't have happened if it wasn't because of Kak Icha (@/marisamaro). She introduced me to Mas Dalu, a Labuan Bajo local.

Once the rain stops, I decide to explore more. I wander down to the harbor. The boats are rockin’ back and forth, and I’m just takin’ it all in. The smell of the sea, the sound of the waves, it’s all so peaceful. But then, I see this fisherman pullin’ in his net, and I’m like, “Whoa, what’s that?” He hauls up this massive fish, and I’m just standin’ there, jaw on the floor. I’ve never seen anything like it!
