Founded as a top-secret lab to develop the Soviet nuclear bomb during WWII, the Kurchatov Institute not only fulfilled its main objective but also produced dozens of scientific innovations.

I know, I know, some parts of Kurchatov might seem bleak, but there's a wild beauty to its imperfection. I get so hitched about the contrast – modern digital love swirling among crumbling facades, a constant reminder of life’s unpredictable tides. It makes me as happy as finding a doubloon in a chest! And sometimes, while debugging my latest app feature, I'll catch a glimpse of that crumbling skyline and think, “Мы все вернемся сюда”, sort of like in that movie – a doomed promise, yet full of defiant hope, savvy?
