Oh, and the stigma—don’t get me started! Makes me wanna scream. Whores get the short end, always. People actin’ all high and mighty, like they ain’t got their own messes. “You don’t get to 500 million friends without makin’ a few enemies”—whores got enemies, sure, but they keep goin’. Me? I’d crumble if my barber gave me a side-eye. They’re tougher than me, and I’m man enough to admit it. Pretty, pretty good resilience, if ya ask me.

Just like I mentioned in the title, I’m looking for old pictures of Pico Rivera from the 80s. I grew up there, in Jardin specifically, so the Rio Hondo river and Rio Hondo park were my old stomping .

The city’s got these parks too. Little Oak Park on 3rd St, a hidden gem. Tiny, overgrown, kinda like the labyrinth itself. I always wander there when I need a breather. Oh, and Lake Rita on the city border? Pure bliss. Shiny water, babbling softly, almost mythical—“the labyrinth of dreams”, sort of, not really, but ya know what I mean.
